    Re: home help

I am using my k3 touch at home, at present I have only a french press in use here which I am quite fond of.

Not in my wildest dreams did i imagine how different my coffee would be using fresh beans and freshly ground coffee, thank goodness for CS!

I am enjoying the best home brew ever.....Yeman Ismail fresh and delicious.

How I ever drank my slush before is beyond me.

    Craig.

    Chris,

the difference between the A1 and S1 is the lever right/wrong?

My wife can make an ok coffee, do you think that the lever would make it too hard for  someone to

operate that is not making coffee all the time?

    Souped up??

    Craig.
    Thats correct Craig....

Souped = Talk Coffee Thermo upgraded

    Re: home help

Its been a month since I asked this question,

as I said apart from needing new toys now.........

I can wait, and wait and wait no thats not me!

Having looked, searched, and asked heaps of questions,

I have come to the conclusion that the right machine for me is the

one that my wife likes(nah just joking).

What I want and need are similar but being at work with a machine for 12+ hrs a day tells me that a GS3 would be heaps

overkill for home, as would the Synesso.

I need a quiet(ish) machine that can be plumbed so as my tea drinking wife can use it all day,

It has to be able to keep steam up when guests arrive, though i reckon most higher end HX machines should be able to

    do this between shots!

And most importantly one that has the ability to make great coffee as it is after all "whats in the cup that counts"

I am confident my ability will not be what is lacking. (I mean this humbly, not trying to sound arrogant)

So now I have just got to get the time to test some machines I suppose.

Coffeesnobs thanks for your advice and answers to my endless questions.

I hope over time I can help other new questioning minds as you have with me.

Any and all suggestions are not taken lightly so .................

    Craig.

Now thats an idea, however that means a 2 group La Marzocco and it goes

    out of my budget range.

I will keep looking and learning and listening,

I am not really good at being patient but am getting better,

maybe a previously loved La Marzocco??

    Craig.

    Go Pies.

agggggghhhhhh i hate decisions based on logic.
I think the only time that Logic and great Espresso should be used in the same sentence is when you are troubleshooting your way to the God Shot :P. Its all about passion after that ;D,

    Mal.

And i didnt think anything could be better than Collingwood!

Damn but that looks fine Luca, ministry of finance is one thing but i reckon the sale of my m28 select and fully reconditioned spring lever Gaggia 2 group may put a dint in the cost...........I hope.

Its a long way from my stove top espresso that i still occasionally use, or my French press.

and even further from my trusty ibrik Turkish coffee maker which is put to use at least twice a week still.

Thanks for your advice so far, maybe there are some other machines that are great but not so pointy!!!

Wait huh wait .................... i need new toys now!
