Re: Paper Filter for Percolator (to filter diterpe
Was just about to say...only drip machine filters in the supermarket.
You can try to get some filter paper, and just cut it to size. Usually the same sort of material they use for filtering deep fry oil.

Do you mean filters for percolators? Supermarkets usually only have filters for drip coffee machines. Chris

Re: Paper Filter for Percolator (to filter diterpe
Have youlooked in yopur supermarket? Most supeermarkets have them in their coffee aisle - you may have to have a good look as they are hidden away, but I am pretty sure most larger supermarkets have them.

Paper Filter for Percolator (to filter diterpenes)
Hi, I am after paper filters for percolators. I have found some on Amazon, but wonder if anyone knows a shop in Melbourne (perhaps even around Elwood) that sells paper filters for percolators.
I am after something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Melitta-Percolator-Coffee-Filters-Around/dp/B000GHI7FM
But any paper filters that fits percolators will be fine.
(FYI: my reason for buying these filters is that unfiltered coffee raises cholesterol levels significantly due to high levels of diterpenes: http://www.sciencenews.org/pages/sn_arch/11_30_96/food.htm)
Thanks!
