    • Great setup kg...

Size isn't important and the machinery you have is very, very capable. It's up to the guy/gal hanging on to the Group Handle that determines the quality of the coffee in the cup, when you get to this level...

        Thanks Mal.

Spot on. It's all in the operator. Of recently I've been pulling consistent and great tasting shots with the Axil Colombian/Brazilian blend. I thought while I'm onto a good thing I grabbed some more beans that were roasted a couple days back so by the time I finish my current batch the new batch will be ready, willing and begging to be ground and hit with 9bars of pressure before they make its way down into my stomach.

          • Nothing too new but since I'm away during most of the week I don't get the chance to give her to old spit and shine too often! But since we entertain on the weekend I still make a lot of coffee and love it. So glad I invested in this setup!

We're on school holidays in Apollo Bay in the caravan. This is the mobile cafe. Elektra Micro Casa a Leva and Lido 2. Currently serving Ethiopian Biftu Gesha roasted by Chris as 'spro and Latte. Beats the local cafes.

              Cheers Dean.

              • My Home Setup

Here is my home setup now that I've finished with the upgrades and mods.

                - Izzo Alex Leva with toggle/joystick steam and water valves. Zebra wood handles all round.
                - Versalab M3 grinder with glass hopper (adapter by Coffee Machinist) and zebra wood lid.
                - Zebra wood Pullman tamper turned down (Coffee Machinist again) to fit the basket precisely.

The Illy cup collection is in the background.

I'm very happy with this setup. Upgraditus in remission...

                Cheers
                Dean

I know it's sacrilegious, but we take a Caffitaly pod machine away in our camper. The rest of the time it doesn't get used, as we have a Silvia for real coffee.

                      • 2 days of espresso bliss took 2 shots to dial it in. Big thank you to Chris @ Talk Coffee for sourcing me one so quickly and going above and beyond, as well as Dan from Specht Design for the timber porn

Couldn't be happier! Just need to get used to this steaming power, whole new ball game.

                        • I am thrilled that it has arrived safely evro50.

I really loved screwing this one together and am happy that it crossed the Nullarbor safely.

I have a newie as well and have dialled the steam down a tad to 1.5bar. Give it a shot and see how you go. Even 1bar works.

                          Enjoy!

You are having the best set at home. Here in India, these equipments are used by McDonalds. I just sipped the coffee at McDonalds 2 days before.

                              • Feeling slightly overwhelmed by other's posts in comparison to my mini station, but apartment living in the heart of Melbourne has its drawbacks. At least when it comes to kitchen realestate allowance. Nevertheless I couldn't be happier with my current set-up.
