Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
I bought my naked pf from Di Bartoli - it seemed to be the cheapest among the sponsors sites and I have no problem with the quality (and, of course, service)

Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
Hi folks,
Ordered on the weekend and received today from SES - would echo the suggestion to contact them about becoming a site sponsor. This time around the pf has no damage - looks like a new product
Cheers,
Andrew.

Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
Sydney Espresso Services, EspressoWorkshop (.com) sell them locally in Australia and Im sure there are others too.
The Naked PF I got from Ash at SES looks fine in my Giotto Premium and does the job just nicely.
(Andy, you should contact Ash Kotzen from SES and see if they want to be a site sponsor)
cheers,
James

Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
Id be happy to support a local sponsor so long as form is not sacrificed to achieve function. The Espressotec units look good, and they advertise them on the basis of the quality of their workmanship. Gregs work also looks fantastic and has had some great reviews and better yet is local.. Ill send you a pm Greg to get some details.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
Id second coffeeparts as the quickest off the shelf option, otherwise if you had one you wanted done I may be able to do it at some stage for you. Ive converted a number of 6910 portafilters in the past (check http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1163933751 if you want to verify the workmanship). This is not an official service I provide but Id be happy to discuss it if you wanted to go down that path.

Re: Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
If you really are struggling to find one, buy the standard portafilter you like then take it to a local machinist and explain exactly what you want them to do, probably take along some photos wouldnt hurt. For an experienced machinist, this is a very simple job to do and wont cost a great deal.

Where to get a quality e61 naked portafilter
As the title suggests, I am looking for a "quality" e61 naked portafilter. I have already had one shot at this and been dissapointed with the quality of what was provided (dents and chips into the base of the PF, wear marks on the handle presumably from being clamped in a vice or some such etc)... the giotto deserves better.
If someone has experience with a supplier of such a beast your tips would be most appreciated!
Cheers,
Andrew.Tags: None
