  • New EM6910: lots of noise and no water...?

    All,

    My wife and I have recently purchased the Sunbeam EM6910. We thought we’d try it out today for oour Saturday morning coffee.

    Followed the instructions etc and when we turned it on to run some hot water through it, it made a very loud sound (based on the posts and replies on this site, this is normal for the EM6910 it would seem) but no hot water.

    We didn’t persist incase there was something wrong with the machine. Is it damaged? Did we not wait long enough (~5 seconds)? What are we doing wrong guys?

    Welcome to Coffee Snobs.

    Make sure the water tank is pushed right in and then try again.

    It does take a little while the first time.

      Unlike most virgin acts, it would appear that the above advice is true when using the EM6910 for the first time.
