    split the difference

    A way I found to dampen those gauges is to stick a strip of electrical tape over the hole in the portafilter, then make a small hole in the tape with a pin or something like that. In effect youve then made an improvised snubber. That worked quite well on my Silvia.

    When using a undamped gauge on a vibe pump machine with the gauge fluttering over a 1 bar range which reading do I use e.g. fluttering between 9 and 10 bar do I split the difference and call it 9.5 bar or go with the max 10 bar. Can anyone help?
