  • Fully Auto Machine for an Office

I am considering buying a machine for the office. Given the types of users (I am being diplomatic here), it will need to be a fully automatic job. One that springs to mind is the Delonghi EAM3500. Yes, I think even the frothing has to be automated. Does anyone have experience with this model or a similar machine? Lookng at around 20 cups/day.

    Thanks.

    Hi 2onnet

STEP AWAY FROM THE DOMESTIC MACHINERY FOR AN OFFICE!

If its going into an office, you should be looking at quality- for example the Jura range or you will be on a fast track to heartbreak and expense. You might try Attiio of Cosmorex. He is a long time sponsor and can assist with great experience, prices and service...Wayne from Gilkatho also supplies this type of equipment....

Definately have to agree with 2muchcoffeeman about trying to use a domestic machine in the office environment.  When people (all of us) are at work we work with a harsher level of performance expectation.  A 20 second delay with a coffee machine at home on a Sunday morning is nothing.

A 20 second delay in the office, with three people queued, 1 on a mobile phone call, one to finish a tender and 1 person about to start a two hour teleconference is not the time for the little plastic fitting to break.

For an office of 20 people Id be pointing towards the Jura Z5, one position cappuccino, does latte or frothy milk, espresso etc plus each drink can be made from a choice of 5 different strengths, milk & coffee amounts to suit the various coffee cups.

Read more about the Z5 on the web at Jura Impressa Z5 Cappuccino Machine - Jura Z5 (0170)

The Z5 is one of our most popular models.

      Best Regards

      Wayne

Stay away from anything Delonghi when it comes to espresso - including autos... As above - listen to them :-)

You would have to stick with the sponsors I believe. So you can have after sales support. From what I have seen of the Jura they are simple to use.

Thanks for your considerate replies everyone. When it comes to major equipment I like to deal with someone within sensible driving distance (20 minutes). I can see one site sponsor is located at Bondi Junction so thats where I will head.

            Cheers.

Wise move on sticking with local. I am sure that all the sponsors would agree with you on that. I am sure Di Bartoli will point you in the right direction. Not sure what they carry in the fully auto category but I am sure they will show you some nice machinery all the same. Good luck with it all, I am sure your employees will be happy to have decent coffee, particularly if upgrading from instant :-/
