Just added a Dema.RAL to my collection

Same colour as my Pullman but it tamps according to your dose and always tamps evenly.

    Hey Chris, nice tamper!

I love mine for all the same reasons as well - it fills my hand very well to give it a comfy grip. Plus sitting on top of my shiny stainless bezzera with black knobs - looks like it just belongs there.

as for material, even the thread is 316 s.s. 8-)

My new Bogav assassin in 316 stainless and acetal. I have a large hand, so use it with both spacers in place. I love that when its level with the top of the basket, I have a perfect dose and tamp  8-)

After replacing the seal the leak was still there >

The SB has gone in for repairs, fortunately under warranty I believe its a $160 repair bill otherwise.

Now I have to get used to plunger coffee for a week or so - or maybe Ill get the AeroPress out of storage

    Grape coloured Pullman Barista, Fantastic.
Dont buy in to the 30lb pressure theory, had some excellent shots from alot lighter than that.

At least this is easy and cheap, and if it doesnt work you have spare seal for next year.
    You won me Greg 8-)

Ill definitely try that - maybe Greg Pullman misses out on the sale of an extra base

If the gasket has been used with the original basket it could very well have taken a bit of an imprint, leaving the slightly different Synesso with a poor seal.

How about a new gasket for the machine?
Maybe Ill try that - but why would it leak only on the Synesso  :-?

    My much loved Pullman

Fits the Synesso basket perfectly, but the Synesso causes the EM6910 to leak over the top of the basket so Im back to using the SB basket.  Unfortunately the Pullman is a bit tight in the SB

I may have to consider ordering a new base to fit the SB otherwise Ive wasted my money
