I currently use a basic 400ml jug that came with my old Breville.

Re: What size milk frothing jug would work best for lattes/chinos for 2 - 4 people?
Work best for what Dutchie?
I have 2 x 300ml and 2 x 600ml jugs.
I usually only need one 300ml jug as mostly Im only making one flat white for myself.
If I need to make a couple of the same I still only use the 300ml because I find it more accurate (a lack of practise on my part) than trying to steam twice as much milk in one go in the larger jug.
However, when entertaining and needing to do say 6 - 8 coffees or more, the 600ml jug gets a run in the interest of saving time.
Having 2 of each size means I can use skinny milk and full cream and clean up after rather than as I go.

Re: What size milk frothing jug would work best for lattes/chinos for 2 - 4 people?
Probably depends on the size (volume) of the cups youre using....
I use a 300ml for a single Latte/Cappuccino and if two or more at a time, then the 600ml jugs are drawn into service.... Much like TG does above

I personally only ever make 2 or more thanks to my loving family, so a 750ml motta for me, split into another 600ml to pour, i personally find my 600ml run of the mill jug just the best for piccolo latte art

Completely?Originally posted by 464E41474F1510240 link=1265713746/6#6 date=1265758092Completely depends on the size of your boiler
My Expobar has a 2 litre boiler and handles a 600ml jug.
So are you saying that if I had a commercial machine with a 12 litre boiler I should be using a 3.5 litre jug? :-?

Re: What size milk frothing jug would work best for lattes/chinos for 2 - 4 people?
Yer good idea to get it back on topic ;D
What I meant was that peoples comments on this issue are often dependent upon their specific machine. For my gaggia classic (single boiler non-e61) I would only ever use my 300ml jug because I knew its limits - so it was one latte at a time. However, with the dual boiler expobar, I know I can steam 600ml easily so I adopt this method.
For your lelit combi, you will have to find its limits.

very good point
, would imagine its ideal to really be a 600ml(300ish mils of milk) or 1 lt max (500ish mls of milk)

Used to own an almost identical machine and it worked fine with the 600ml jug 8-)..... Still used the above proviso though, 300ml for when only one Latte/Cappa was required,

What size latté? My double latté fits comfortably into a 110ml cup.
And why would you want a milk frothing jug for your jeans (chinos)? 8-) You planning on carrying it in a pocket? :
(Is that a milk frothing jug in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?) ;D
