Does anyone use the Silvias single filter basket - and get decent crema? I cant seem to. 
Also, I thought that a single shot is meant to use 7g of dry ground coffee, however I can easily load the single basket with 10g - but still not get good crema! Any advice on how much coffee to load would be appreciated (or a pointer to a thread dealing with this).
Anyone have any experiance with spring loaded tampers? Renzo at Di Bartolis has such a device and it looks super kewl. The handle has an internal spring and as you press down, it loads up to the preset tamping pressure then releases, bit like a spring loaded centre punch. It is mighty expensive but I was wondering if any of you snobs had used one?
