I reckon that is some good advice you are getting there from FC. Better to get the suppliers advice to avoid and surprise warranty issues later on.

      Got to agree with that....

And the fact that no site sponsor sells these machines would be ringing loud alarm bells - to me at least....

If they were good Im sure at least one site sponsor would have them as one of their offerings.... Maybe they have tried them and found them not "up to scratch!!"....

In fact I cant find them listed anywhere in Australia (other than in this thread and one other CoffeeSnobs thread) when I did a google search

By the way, there is a kind of roughly (as in not smooth) finished plastic "fabric" that allows heat through. Its kind of "holey". We use it on the top of the machine in our tasting room so it doesnt get all scratched up from the cups.

Ive seen it sold in caravanning and boating stores for use as table cloth or "table mat" material as it has "non slip" properties.

It could just as easily be used to quiet the "interface" between the metal top or cup warmer plate of the machine, and your cups.

        Regardz,
        FC.
