Re: Water leaking in Rancillio Silvia
Rancilio have an outlet on Peel Street, not far from the Vic Market, they might be able to help. If the machine is less than 12 months old, itll still be under manufacturers warranty. All the best.

Re: Water leaking in Rancillio Silvia
Hi Darren- I suggest that the problem may (assuming that youre dosing correctly) just simply a matter of adding a few more weeties to that cereal bowl :P....With a new gasket, your handle may may well be in the 4-5 oclock position if correctly seated. Also, check that the gasket has seated correctly by working the handle forwards and backwards with an empty basket....I use a little soap to lubricate things when I install and seat a new gasket....Originally posted by jazzy_boy link=1166665490/0#0 date=1166665489Hi All
My Silvia started acting up last week. I kept getting slow leaks over top of handle during extraction (at about the 10 sec mark). Dosing and grind size are OK as they have remained consistent.
I replaced the rubber seal in group head, de-calcified and cleaned machine. Im still getting leakage. The extraction rate seems to have slowed down. Flow rates are fine with just the porter filter in there and no coffee. But under pressure doesnt seem to be handling it.
Any clues to what I can do to fix it?
Is there anyone in Melbourne I can take it to who would be able to look at it and fix or advise me what to do?
Many thanks,
Darren
Good luck!
