    Re: Silvia drip tray

Id say it there to drain any water that falls under the drip tray onto the base. Theres no reason why it couldnt be used as a drain for the tray, but I would make sure that any water that does fall under the drip tray can still get out. This will avoid corrosion.

Is that little hole in the bottom designed to be used for a drain? Id love not to have to empty my drip tray! It is rather samll on Silvia- for my liking. :

I wanted to make a muggacino, so I removed the perforated cover of the drip tray to pull a shot. With the drip tray 100% dry (I run a tidy house), I ran some hot water through the PF to warm the mug and to my surprise a small puddle appear at the rear of the drip tray.

    Anyone experience this???

I shall have to remove the vertical splay wall behind the group head to see where it is coming from, but is this a normal overflow operation, or is something wrong?  :-[

Yeppers- its just your 3-way valve doing its thing
