Im getting together the soldering iron, spot welder, assorted screw drivers to work on my project, kinda a reverse of what Rene G. has done .

Since I like coffee and computing, I figure the best solution is to modify the laptop to make espressos.

Let you all know when its mission accomplished.

LOL When I first saw this mod (http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1136857480/0#0) I seriously debated modding my Cimbali M52 into an old server case I had. ;D

Yet the simpler machine produces the more complex coffee.

    That sounds so profound....

However, according to George Sabados (of updosing fame), the new Azkoyen Xpression superauto has finally hit the mark... and repeatedly so, shot after shot after shot...

I suspected the inside of a superauto had to look like one of those factory production lines spoofed by Looney Tunes cartoons.

You can see where the money goes -- in transporting coffee around with plastic cogs and levers and whirring things. Many, many (fragile) parts to break down.

Compare that to a simple coffee machine -- all heat-retaining metal. And the only thing that moves is water. Yet the simpler machine produces the more complex coffee.

At least I have a better understanding of how a super-auto works (or doesnt ) to create coffee. The end result looked bloody awful, but hats off to the task of getting it to work in the first place.

Rene G. could have saved himself a lot of money and 80 hours of work by leaving the internals in the original superauto....

All that for the pale imitation of coffee?  And hes supposed to a a passionate coffee lover, too.

Seems like the person put a superauto in a PC case. Guess the original case must have been scratched or something.

    WOW!!! What a machine.

Pitty about the quality of the coffee coming out. Very long pour and look at that crema... Pale as.

Still, hats off to the person who knocked that one up.
