hadnt looked on ebay for a while..., sort of wish I hadnt cause then I wouldnt have seen the two group Cimbali in great nick and Gino Rossi Grinder that went for just for over $500!!

Maybe the 15amp plug scared the home buyers away but this was a very serious bargain.

I did pick up the Carezza from Airport West - I paid $310, which is probably a bit much, but Im so happy with it I just dont care!

I have seen the extrastock guy on ebay doing these and classics and evolutions... they would definatly be a good buy to get one.... or at least to keep an eye on it and see if you can get a bargin.

    AndyCJ,

You may like to know that The Myer store in Adelaide (City branch) still have the Gaggia Carezza on sale @ a markdown price of $249.

    Good Luck

theres a few refurbished carezzas sold by extrastock on ebay. i wouldnt recommend a refurbished one from there after reading a negative feedback regarding crappy condition of a refurbished machine .....although if you are patient then keep your eyes open for a good deal from extrastock on a new machine......my gaggia super auto is being delivered next week ;D

Thats ok - but its been refirbished. And not knowing how old it is... or how much use its had... I think Ill stick with a new one.

Judging on Alan Frews article about the corrosion on some of the machines with alloy boilers after a few years use I would prefer to know where its come from and where its going.

If I was on ebay looking Id be bidding on the Classic which is round $280 - or the one that got snapped up on Friday night for $305.

I wanted to get a Gaggia Carezza, reading many a good review I thought that $300 was a good starting block.

    Not imported anymore!

Dont suppose anyone has any recommendaitons based round this model?  The Cubika is crappy by comparison and is now the same price ($320 myer).

Just when you think you find something good they dont make it anymore!
Theres a refurbished one on EBAY now 28/02/05.

    Carezzas not imported anymore?

Even if theyre not youd have to be able to find some in stock still.

Try Harvey Norman or The Good Guys. Ill bet you London to a Brick theyve still got plenty.

It still beats the opposition hands-down in the value for money stakes. I used one for about 2 years of absolute problem-free service. Shots are nearly as good as Silvias IMO. Just doesnt have that bulletproof build quality.
