EM6910 is 58mm so it will fit no problems. Depth wise you probably won't fit a triple basket though so stick with the double basket and you should be safe.

Also the EP baskets are ridgeless so you may need to upgrade the portafilter spring to retain the ridgeless basket. The standard VBM spring is really tight so there was no need to upgrade this time for me but when I went ridgeless on my Silvia I had to upgrade springs.

I suppose this is a question for Talk_Coffee, but if anyone else knows the answer, feel free to jump in...

I have a Sunbeam EM6910, about 1.5 years old, and was wondering whether the EP baskets would fit the portafilter handle which comes with the EM6910?

Received my EP basket and IMS shower screen earlier this week from Talk_Coffee and WOW...the quality of both of these items is amazing.

The standard Vibiemme basket was always a difficult to get perfectly clean and dry between shots but the machined and highly polished surfaces of the EP basket wipe clean so easy. A real quality product.

Can't offer any comment on the different in taste etc as I've only pulled two double shots this morning.

    This bears repeating.

I went back to my stock Gaggia baskets and did some comparisons to test if I'd wasted my money and the best I could dial in was still noticeably less sweet and complex than what I get with the EP baskets.

I have no idea why that might be, but I'm certainly happy with the results.

    Thanks
The baskets Rancillio supply with Silvia also leave a lot to be desired.

One of the recommended first mods for a new Silvia owner is replace the baskets.

I've been using La Marzocco basket for years and like them a lot, also have a couple of VST baskets, find them ok but much prefer the LM's.

That's sounds like a Synesso. I have one of these, a VST and the original basket that came with my Diadema (La Marzocco?) I prefer the taste of the coffee I make with the Synesso, and they are more forgiving of variance in dose (which is useful given that my other half is not particularly methodical in her approach). Haven't tried Chris's EP baskets.

We think so too- hence Espresso Parts Precision baskets. I feel they're what Synesso could have been. They may well be cheaper than Synesso as well.

The genuine Synesso baskets don't have 'Synesso' written on them (mine certainly doesn't). Is there anything about the build quality that makes you suspicious? Did you buy it from an established coffee machine/parts supplier, or the cheapest outlet you could find on the 'bay?

started a topic Synesso basket identification, real or ripoff.

Synesso basket identification, real or ripoff.

I recently purchased an 18g ridge less synesso basket online. The basket was delivered without any documentation or packaging, and neither does it have any identifying marks. After purchasing a VST basket which is easy to tell that's its a VST basket, how can I tell that I have a genuine synesso basket?

    Cheers,
Working...
