Hi Wonder
Thanks for that. The Brita web site suggests that maxtra is an activated carbon filter - I think this wont substantially change water hardness and thus scale build-up will it? I thought that ion exchange resin was required to remove Ca?

Hi scrafter,
Im also in Adelaide and I use to use a brita maxtra jug.. Filters are cheap and can be purchased everywhere, and as I only used it for my coffee machine they lasted 3-6 months before change over.
Cheers

Hi Javaphile
Thanks for this. I've been using straight Adelaide tap water for my Isomac and I think the tech has probably needed to jackhammer the insides every 9 months or so! I've looked at the bombora website and they only sell wholesale. Any idea how I actually find a business to attach one of these systems? My machine is not plumbed in and I'm likely to move house in the next few months, so a system I can take with me would be ideal if you have any suggestions....
Any thoughts?
Cheers
