Hey thanks for that...
I currently have a Breville 800ES which is a much cheaper machine (but does an ok job) but is not an auto - you steam your own milk etc, which I would not give up. I've never seen any cheaper auto machine do a good job with the milk...
Thanks for the help.

What are you using at the moment?
It's an auto; do you want to spend time practising/learning/tweaking or do you prefer something that gives "good", easily?
$300 can get you a very nice grinder 2nd-hand if you watch and wait.

Noob Question about quality of a coffee machine brand...
Hey all,
I'm a noob when it comes to coffee machines and grinders but I have an opportunity to buy an almost brand new one of these:
Philips Saeco Syntia HD8838/08
For around $300 from someone who bought it and never used it - they retail about $900 as far as I can tell. So, are they any good? Is the grinder in them any good? I don't really need a new coffee machine but I do need a new grinder and have a $300 budget for a grinder, so I wouldn't complain about getting a new coffee machine in at the same price if the grinder was any good.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
