Thanks for lending out your gauge Greg. It is very helpful to know what the pressure like at the group head. I’ll send it back to Greg next week if no one else is in line.

All done with this now. If there is nobody on the list by the end of the week, I'll send it back to Greg.

    Ready to post

OK I am ready to post on or back to Greg.

The female brass fitting that screws onto the group handle had split along a manufacturing seam and leaked badly so I had to source one. The new one has a bit thicker wall so I doubt it will happen again. The threads on the old fitting were pretty worn so not a bad thing that it is replaced. I have put in a new rubber washer that was missing but the new fitting is a little deeper than the old one. This means that the short length of threading on most group handles will probably not compress the washer and you will still have to rely on the plumber's tape to seal the threads. I have put in a new roll of tape.

Thanks Greg for providing the service.

    Chris

Hi Greg. I have just paid you by internet banking $20.

For anyone else who does not find it obvious, yes you have to remove the underscores as well.

    All the best,

    Chris
