"Cape Cod metal polishing cloths" from USA work really well too. They are available in Australia but I only found that out after I ordered them in from the U.S.

You can use a metal polisher called - autochrome. It is a white paste and will polished any metal to shine finish.

G'day Dave...
I use the liquid version mate. Not as aggressive as the paste.

Thanks for the recommendation Mal. Do you use the liquid or paste?Originally posted by Dimal View PostI can highly recommend a product called "Liquid Reflection" polish - PDF attached...
I've used it on several S/S items and it works extremely well, with the addition of a little elbow grease.

No, never had that happen, especially given the degree of shine on most polished s/s these days.Originally posted by Darkfalz View PostWould you end up with a shiny spot though, which might be just as distracting to the eye as a scratched spot? I gave up worrying about the drip tray on my last machine.

Thanks for the tip Mal - gonna track some down and have a go. Elbow bending is my second favourite pastime.

Polishing out scuffs on High Gloss Stainless
My 2008 Domus Galatea has scuff marks on the drip tray where someone rests the milk jug during steaming. Anyone got any solutions for the removal of the light scratches? (excluding asking the missus to lift the jug). Looked at a product called "simichrome" and just wondering if anyone has had some experience with home polishing or this product. Thanks in advance.Tags: None
