I use Ilsa black teflon and like them as they are really easy to keep clean. I could be imagining it but I also feel that the milk whirlpools a little easier.

Hmm all very relevant. I actually really like the way it pours (it is in fact a white Joe Frez) and it gets a lot of customer attention.

I just don't know about the chips inside from the wand

One might say the same thing about a host of other doodads. Baskets anyone? :P

Best to try one and come to your own decision.

I have the option of using the teflon ones at work and I tend to stay away from them. When pouring, the sides have less friction making it very hard to have a comfortable grip on the jug for latte art. Sure, they are cleaner but having a clean chux ready for wiping up milk on the sides of the jug is just as good an option. But in domestic use, this is completely irrelevant :P

I have tried a few different teflon jugs.

I am yet to find a black one which appears to work well. The white JoeFrex ones are more like a ceramic and they do work well.

Try doing 200 hundred coffees back to back and then let me know if there is any milk residue sticking to the inside of your milk jugs

If your milk is getting sticky, I think you've gone a bit far

I hate to state the very obvious but one could easily assume that the benefit would be that the hot milk would not stick to the inside of the jug and would be far easier to clean.

    Gimmick or worth while?
I have a white Teflon in my quiver but it's chipping only a month in. It really doesn't seem to be much cleaner/easier to keep clean and cost more than twice a standard jug.

Has anyone noticed any benefits they offer?
