We've had trouble finding any rubber hose of a suitable dimension for replacing the rubbers on the larger free-standing knock tubes common in cafes - about the only suitable stuff we can find at hose suppliers is fuel bowser hose, which is hideously expensive per metre, and not exactly food grade. About the only other option is replacing with a heavy wooden dowel.Originally posted by Andy View PostAs for "re-rubbering" I don't like your chances, most people that are making their own knock boxes are using radiator hose (or similar) which is far from food grade and I would be concerned at what you could possibly transferring to the group of your machine. The cafelat ones use food grade materials which are safe to lick

Not sure where you purchased yours from but we do carry the small tubbi on CoffeeSnobs for $31 (inc GST, ex freight). Seems excessive to replace the whole thing but that's the "way of the world" these days. We don't carry the bar as a spare but maybe should consider landing some with our next shipment.
The stainless knockbox comes with a second rubber, maybe you were thinking of that?

Tubbi knock bar replacment
Hi All
I bought a small tubbi a while ago under belief that they supplied replacement rubbers for the knocking bar. But I can't find them in .au. The best I can do is order a new bar (steel part included) and mail it from Cafelat in HK + US$20 P&H.
Anyone with a hot tip on where I could find one, or other methods of re-rubbering the bar?
