I put stick on felt discs under the rear feet (the type you stick on under furniture to protect timber floors) and this way you can tilt up the front and slide the machine easily on the back legs. Leaving the fronts rubber gives enough grip to prevent moving the machine when locking in the PF. This is on an E61 style machine but it should work on any. Effective and completely unobtrusive, worth a go.
Cheers

Sliding base for Silvia

I needed a sliding base for something in my kitchen (not my coffee machine) just bought a pair of those cheap thin bendy chopping boards from IKEA and used one to slide on the bench. Looks average but gets the job done.

Do you think you could modify a base like this yourself, by adding on the casters.

Sliding base for Silvia
I'm looking for a base for my Silvia espresso machine with locking casters.
I hate having to lift the machine every time I need to fill the machine with water.Tags: None
