Boiler or pump problem advice semi auto

Afternoon all.

I need some help please. I have. Quick mill semi auto and it stopped pumping this morning. Boiler heats up fine.
I flush daily and descale about every 3 months.

I was going to start by draining the boiler and checking for blockages etc. Then move onto the pump.
Any tips on what to look for?

What happens when you run hot water out of the Boiler?
Does the pump kick in and refill the Boiler?

Sorry Mal but I would not recommend that if the pump is not working that could kill the heating element, there is away to do this:
1. Disconnect the heating element (we know that this is working, just in case)
2. On the top of the boiler you will find one or two wires, depend of the model. One fills the boiler, unplug one and after 10 seconds the boiler should start filling if not your problem can be your pump, fill solenoid or board
3. if this works check the top restricted from the group head maybe is block

I managed to fix it by poking and prodding. I cleaned as I pulled it apart and think I dislodged something, or it's a faulty solenoid. When the boiler cools I will put it back together and give it the descale and flush of it's life.

I went to drain the boiler but it's super tight so I didn't.

I hope it continues to work as no coffee sucks and the Mrs doesn't like tamping etc on the backup.

No coffee this morning.

Descaled and flushed fine, run it with no beans and it worked.
Put hopper on and it poured half a shot and stopped. It wont pour hot water either.

So I will look into renzos options.

Now you have a narrower direction in which to troubleshoot...

One of the pumps isn't working properly. It draws from tank and goes almost everywhere, including a secondary pump or something. Pulled apart, no blockages, I'm stumped. [emoji36]

To finish this off I bought an Ex5 pump and all is good in the world again.
Unfortunately for me it means the manual machine is back in the shed.
