G’day to all
As posted, looking for advice and direction.
After using my percolator for several years I have got to the point where I am planning (and need) the next step.
My drink of choice is a flat white (short black as second), whilst the other significant (and financier!!) has the Skinny Latte as hers. Instant does not even feature as I now buy my coffee “to go” on the way to work (or go without).
Therefore my post asks for advice based on the following.
My budget for my espresso machine sits in the region of $1000 – 15000 (not including grinder).
I would like to purchase one that will suit for many years (thus avoid the upgrade- itus – the financier will probably only fall for this expenditure once).
The ability to brew and steam at the same time is important.
Whilst new is great, I am quite happy to purchase second hand, and am leaning towards a commercial model (Boema etc – looks don’t matter, just the quality of the coffee).
Commercial seems stronger and service is probably easyier.
Plumbing is not all that important but I would prefer an inbuilt tank due to the issue of portability, I would prefer to be able to use a normal power point
Any advice would be greatly appreciated; I am not sure that I am trying to walk before crawling thus I refer to you guys.
Regards
(BTW I have recently moved to S/E QLD so any pointers towards retailers etc would be appreciated).
