Might pay you to look up some old threads on water filtration. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that the general consensus is that these jug type water filters are OK for drinking water but do not prevent scale build up.

That's not too bad. The misses also doesn't like the idea of that in the kitchen. But wants the brita type as it's in the fridge for us to also drink cold water.Originally posted by Brewster View PostAqua Pro Benchtop Filter System works for me. Attaches to any existing tap. Water filter options
Hey everyone.
I still have not purchased my machine but will soon haha.
But I have started to think what I should do for water quality to prevent scaling and have a clean water option over tap water.
I think I'll get a Brita Optimax 8.5L water filter cask for in the fridge. I'll take water out of that and put it aside to warm back to room temp and then put onto the machine water tank. This also gives us nice clean water to drink [emoji16]
If you have any other options to consider I'd love to hear them. Unfortunately we live in a rental and that won't be changing for a long while, so we cant change the water pipes and add filters etc.
