I also wonder if there is a market for the PV, and how well it can be sold.
I could decide to check the market posting in the right section of this forum.
Thanks everybody.

More like 21-23g non-split shots for me... which is what is particularly appealing in the Robot, I can’t do that with the PV.
Thanks for the recommendations on the steamers, very helpful!

Pontevecchio Lusso 2 groups or Cafelat Robot?
Sure it is doable with The Robot and 18g to 21g split shots. Give it a go and see how you go with back to back shots.
Though I doubt it will be anywhere near as impressive looking as a PV 2 group on the bench though.
But as you say you’d need to have a something for milk going.
Options:
* Bellman steamer
* Breville cafe BMF600 milk frother largest quantity I’ve seen but airy froth
* saucepan, milk thermometer and big French press. Cheap and good quality foam.
* WPM Milk Steamer - good bye money but decent quantity / quality milk ; v1 is slow )

Right.
The Robot has a 58mm basket, and can take considerably more coffee.
But I see you point.
Cheers

keep the pontevecchio. it'll make your life easier when entertaining. it's designed to serve many coffees at once. the robot is best for just yourself. keep it for work.

Pontevecchio Lusso 2 groups or Cafelat Robot?
I have recently bought a Cafelat Robot for brewing espresso at work.
I’m enjoying it so much that I’m thimking to buy a second Robot and sell my home machine, a dual-lever Pontevecchio Lusso I bought new about 5 years ago (which I’m happy of).
Am I thinking this straight, or will I regret it?
I would need to complement the Robot with a Bellman milk steamer, introducing more comlpexity, and I suppose that making coffee for 4-6 friends would become less enjoyable. On the other way, I usually brew only 4-8 espressos per day, so the Robot should be ok. But again, most coffees are prepared in pairs, for me and my wife, and they wouldn’t be ready at the same time, which is a plus for me.
As you can read, I am not sure what to do.
