  • Replacing Group Seal

    Hi there,

Im sure we all have replaced a group seal before, but I was keen to know if anyone has a tip on how to get the old one out. The screw driver trick does the job eventually, but it takes a while and leave some scratches behind.

Must be a better way. BTW I have a Silvia.

    Cheers

    Re: Replacing Group Seal

I use a hard plastic spatula to work the gasket down far enough until I can get the blade of a 90 degree screwdriver on it to then pull it the rest of the way off. If its on too tight to simply pull off put a pliars on the other end of the 90 degree screwdriver and hit it with a suitably heavy tool. ;D
