Re: Giotto modification - $1.45
Ive followed your example, Wired. Not quite sure what its for unless youve got the Giotto on a boat, or take it with you on the bus. I just need to make sure that I can find it (for the garage sale) when I upgrade 8-)

Yep much easier than trying to remove the tank like I see many people do on these types of machines. I used to just refill with my 600ml jug but a funnel is much simpler.
I also chucked (well, carefully stored away) the plastic guard around the edge of the top as it didnt do anything useful so I can put more cups on top.

As good an idea as this sounds, I think you should be in the market for a much prettier funnel

Giotto modification - $1.45
Im sure that Im not the only one who has done this, but the finger holes for the water tank lid on the Giotto are perfect for a funnel. Means you can comfortably fill without moving all the cups off the warmer and getting water in with the electrics. If you are prepared to pay for freight of your machine to and from my place, I can do this mod for $1.45 (GST inc.)
Easy removal - not a permanent fixture if you think it is unsightly - but being cheap black plastic, I think it adds a touch of class to the machine.
