This is the email I got from using the contact firm on their website:

If you would like to send a sample please send around 600ml of water with a note outlining what you want to use it for (if a coffee machine is it a stainless or copper boiler) and your contact details to the below address:

    Attn: Cameron McDonald
6/132 Garden Grove Parade Adamstown NSW 2289
They didn't receive the first package I sent but got the second.

"Fridge Filters"" are good. Give them a call. They may already have info about Wollongong water but I think it's quite similar to Sydney Water which draws on the same water reserves as Wollongong (Avon and Woronora dams I believe)

Bombora's retail arm is called Fridge Filters and I think they have a link to this site on their main page...

I suggest you get on to Bombora and send them some tap water and the list of machines you're looking at. They will test your water for free and recommend a filtration set up to suit.
Hey level3ninja, i've seen this advice a few times and wanted to dig into it a bit more. How do you actually do this? On their website it seems that they only deal with wholesalers. On the contact us section they refer home users to fridgefilters. Im keen on investing in the right filters but seems quite hard to deal with them.

    Whats the deal?

    This, this this.
It reminds me that I am due to send in a sample 6 months into my filtration system.
Just to check how my current filter set-up is performing now that it has settled in.
It is cheap and an extra layer of protection in my opinion.

    hello...

can anyone recommend a built-in solution for a water filter for the machines listed above? i realise you can probably get a gravity fed filter for your counter, but if they're plumbed into water mains, i would rather get one which sorts out all the filtering before it enter the machine tanks.

    many thanks for your insights
