There's no performance difference. My understanding is that it is because businesses that want to be certified as organic need to use organic cleaning products

According to their MSDSs they are chemically identical but as you noted one has organic certification.

All these products are very similar, they are basically nappy wash without the detergent and fragrance. Like nappy wash they are all limited to 30% sodium percarbonate (eg 10% available peroxide ) for domestic use.

The remainder is basically mild alkaline salts like sodium carbonate (without the per-). I note that Caffetto have gone the waterway friendly route of using potassium carbonate, that's a good idea if you are on an inland waterway as it reduces the contribution to salinity.

I just use a smaller quantity of 100% sodium percarbonate but as noted that is above the limit for domestic products: it's an excellent sanitiser for beverage equipment generally so I buy it by the sack for the winery.

By the way as far as I can work out these products are also all "organic" so the difference is the cost of getting the certification.

Hi, I was wondering if there is any noticeable performance difference between the Cafetto Espresso clean powder vs the Evo clean powder? On the website, it states the Evo is "is used in the same process as the Espresso Clean however has been certified by an organic certification body."

I got the Espresso clean powder today and found it worked really well in cleaning my BDB and baskets.

Ditto to the above, Cafetto user here, never needed to chemically clean the steam wand I just follow the blow/flush procedure after use. If there is a film of dry milk I missed on the tip a simple soak in hot water does the trick.....

That just tells us you are reading too much overseas content!

Cafetto is one of the world leaders in coffee machine cleaning and make everything in South Australia. They have an ever expanding list of different cleaning products and I'd assume they are good quality too but personally I only use/need Cafetto Evo (even on the kitchen sink) so that's why we have it in BeanBay.

Cafetto is the brand. The Cafize equivalent is Espresso Clean. Cafettovalso make a milk wand cleaning product, but like the posts above I've never needed it.

    Morning Zuroy,

Cafetto products are available from https://www.coffeeparts.com.au/brands/cafetto I've used Cafetto Evo for years as a back flushing cleaner, excellent product.

As an afterthought, re steam wand, after each use, open the steam valve, this will blow out any milk that may have made its way in, and, wipe the tip clean with a damp cloth, no chemicals needed.?

Cafetto. Still haven't finished the 1kg of it I got yearssssss ago. It's in beanbay and most sponsors.
A steam wand trick is just to use a damp towel and wrap it around the steamwand overnight to get rid of the gunk without scratching the mirror finish
