  • Upcoming Bean Counter

There’s quite an interesting topic on the Kafatek forum of a guy that created a bean counter and is now in beta testing.

Reckons he’s calling it the accountant.

Looks interesting. I have one of the type in the attached picture (VEVOR 3~100G Automatic Powder Racking&Filling Machine for Grain/Tea Weigh Filler), thanks to a recommendation by our own tompoland . It's disadvantages are size and accuracy. It's not accurate to +1 bean, more like +5. So I still weigh every dose into a dosing cup and correct it before putting it into the storage vessel, but since it is getting the next dose ready while I'm doing that it cuts down the time by about half. Cost me under $250 delivered. It also can't handle 100g, more like 60g in its internal chute. I think it's a knock-off of what was a relatively cheap machine to start with but it does the job.

So if this new one is priced competitively it looks to be a decent improvement in size and accuracy. Would need to not be 3D printed for my money though.

I think parts are 3D printed, but the hope is the cost is not nearly as much as say a Weber or Acaia.
