I've used mine a few times, quite unnecessarily, and there's always the suspicion that it's creating holes and air pockets where there were none, rather than doing anything positive.
And without a dosing funnel (I have a store-bought heavy stainless one of those!) makes a mess.

Using discarded commercial printers staple wire that is used for binding saddle stitched printed books etc, 9 prongs, this wire is 0.3mm (used to be 7 prongs and 0.5mm but thats a bit thick and shovels more than breaking up and agitating the puck surface) and comes in many other guages. Zero cost, works a treat. Great work by Robusto. Mines called Whats Dat Thingy?

King Corky Budget WDT Rake.
I could call it the Fake Rake Or Corky, or Clippy. Dunno.
the biggest cost was the wine. Paper clips I have scores left over so that when one wears out through the effluxion of time and natural abrasion on coffee grounds... I simply straighten another and literally press it into service.
Actually, that may never happen. The Baratza Sette doesn't produce clumps, just fluffy grounds. So it's pretty much redundant.
I suppose I could sell them...go into mass production from the kitchen bench, but gee, I'd have to become an alcoholic in the process.
