Same here. I've used irrigation poly tubing for probably 16 years. My first knock box was from memory an ugly, thin plastic pool chlorine?? bucket which lasted maybe years. A wooden dowel and 3/4 inch irrigation tube.

The current one I made many years ago from scrap plywood lined with plastic laminate. Again, wooden dowelling with 3/4 inch poly irrigation tubing. Even painted the outside. Classy! 😄

    Does it?

My current poly tubing sleeve has been in place for at least 2 years and has had easily over a thousand pucks knocked out on it.

This following pics were taken just minutes ago with 10 triple basket sized pucks having been knocked out and the bin emptied.

    The bar left untouched:

After a quick back and forth wipe of the bar with a paper towel. The paper towel used to wipe it is the one in the pic:

A closer up shot of the knock bar:

All I see is a few grounds (Before the wipe.) and the underlying stainless steel bar.

Have you tried Coffeeparts? Here's a link for their replacement tube rubbers.

The problem with those hoses is they're not food safe and can impart nasty flavors to the basket/portafilter.

And the problem with it being clear is???

The tubing cleans up quickly and easily with a simple wipe down and when it gets too beat-up for your tastes it's quickly and easily replaced for only a few cents. Plus it's available immediately.

Measuring the diameter required will help you get there easier.

    Pls Report back your findings.
    Cheers

Clear poly vinyl (PVC) tubing of the appropriate diameter found in the plumbing department of pretty much any hardware store.

    Crema Pro Knocking Sleeve

Does anyone have any tips on where I can get hold of a spare knocking sleeve as my current one is about to fall apart!

I've been through the sponsors websites but can't find any. The only sponsor who had them has been out of stock for weeks.
