Ha ha, yes. I still can't believe there was a timer on there all this time when I could have been using it.
To say I sometimes miss the obvious is an understatement lol
That said I don't think I have even had to change the batteries in them in all of that time.

I've had a set of these, under a different brand name, for around four years and only in the last week realised they had a timer on them :/
I was itching for a set of Acaias but now that I know they have a timer in them I don't think I am going to bother.

Just put my order in for the Muuamuua of things. Less than 10% of the price of a Lunar; somewhere above 10% the quality is what I'm aiming for. Could be just another variable to contend with, but what the hay.

Buzzers are usually fairly obvious on the circuit board. If you de-solder the buzzer, it will be silent.
Edit:Sorry, I just noted you already tried this. I'll check out mine to see how to get them apart.

Mine's labeled as a DS-3000, which probably stands for digital scale 3000 gram. I got them from one of the coffee machine places. When I rang them asking for the 'secret button combination' to turn the beep off, they told me they don't beep. Long story short - their first batch didn't beep, and their second batch does. Configuration control must be a lost art in Asia.

I've had a similar no-name set of these for a year or so. They do the job quite nicely. The only gripe I have with them is that I haven't worked out how to turn the annoyingly loud piezo beeper off. Turn on - EEEEPT, tare - EEEEEPT, start timer - EEEEPT, stop timer - EEEEEEPT turn off - EEept. The dog hates it, if he sees me going near them, he's straight out the back door, and sits in the middle of the yard looking shitty. I've tried prising the case apart to get at the circuit board and piezo, but it had defeated me.
First world problem, I guess.

I've been using a couple of those in the winery and my workshop (for weighing epoxy) for a couple of years and they've been excellent, defying all my attempts to kill them.
They have one little quirk: if you start the scale with something small on them (like a disposable cup in which you are about to mix small quantities of epoxy) and then remove the object, they will automatically re-zero themselves rather than holding the tare. If you start them empty, place the object and hit the tare button, however, they will hold the tare. This caught me out several times until I twigged.

Very Cheap Coffee Scales
This $22.99 scales I'm sure is a generic Chinese product, but the online shop from where I bought assigned the name Muuamuua to it.
If you do a google search for muuamuua, Google will suggest muumuu instead. Ignore that, and directly under you should get a result for the top 19 products from Automotive Brand. Click on that, click for price and you're away.
It has a removable protective rubber cover, backlit display, shot timer, weight, tare. Works very well to weigh your dose and then to both time and weigh the extracted amount.
And no, I don't get a commission. I just want to share.
