  • E61 Matrix Shower Screen

I’m unsure if this has been touched on. A shower screen I have seen a lot of talk within a group full of members from the U.S and such, talking about this matrix shower screen, which is meant to act like a puck screen on a way without the need for a puck screen. I’m curious if anyone here has had any first hand experience here in Aus using these new shower screens. As some users are reporting that it’s allowing the e61 flow rate to be more even across the puck compared to the convential e61 shower screens because of the way it is designed.

please let me know your thoughts! I’m intrigued to purchase one as I have seen 1 retailer in aus selling them, as it would be nice to remove the need for the puck screen and having to clean it after each use, compared to a flush and wipe of a shower screen as I normally would anyways

Hi FilthySudo I tried and failed to a fit one to my Decent. I'll ship it to you for $10 p&p if you agree to post your impressions here. Just PM me your address.

Thanks for that feedback. I have ordered through an EU site to lower the costs, and grabbed 2 plus some airscapes at the same time. I will post my reviews when I receive

Sorry Brendan, I first posted to say I had fitted one but then remembered it was a sworks design spacer kit and that the matrix screen did not fit the Decent. So I edited the above post.

I got one of these from Indiegogo when they first released to use with a Giotto PP V2.

The flow rate across is very even and I found it reduced channeling. The problem I had though was that I was having to relubricate the brew lever every week or two as it was so effective at doing any coffee oils going back that the lever was getting sticky very fast.
