  • What Mugs are you using these days

    Hello Everyone,

I need to purchase some new Mugs for my large latte drinks. I place a double shot into the Mug and fill with milk and a little foam on top. Will need to be 400-450ml.

Any recommendations for a nice Mug would be appreciated.

    TIA

I own basically the whole acme range, but their mighty cup I think is only 350ml, which i feel is large enough as it is, let alone going any higher. Goodluck on your search though. I feel like if you’re going to choose ceramic and go for 400-450ml it’s going to be a very heavy holding drink, maybe double wall glass might be a better option for big size and lighter weight

Thanks for your suggestion, but I was after a mug rather then a large cup.

I apologies, I misread. I still deem my 350ml as a mug as that is large for me and rather hefty

Amazon have some huge ones, around 560ml. I just purchased one for my mum last week.

Now that's large, over half a litre.

      It sure is.

Huskee, though the downside is they don't retain heat well sitting on top of the machine. They have a very nice in hand feel though. Can't go wrong with the Acme range.

These are my favorite mugs from site sponsor https://alternativebrewing.com.au/pr...39435161665735 copper bottom heats up really well on top of an espresso machine and ceramic walls retain heat well too. Plus IMHO they look beautiful. Dishwasher safe too.

Damnit. I wasn't looking to spend more money today but this is mighty tempting.

I’m a bit partial to the Loveramics mugs. I’m currently using the Bond series, although they are only 250mL. Perfect for a double shot and about 150-170mL of milk. I live in flavour country…

I have regrets with my choice of words. No. No I have not. But I do like a strong flat white in a mug.

Using a mix of 12oz & 8oz Premier Tazze ceramic mugs I got as spares from work. Honestly, the price to buy them online doesn't look too bad either. Only thing is you'll either want to commit to a pack of 6 or find a mate to split with.
