`Well firstly though I have come Pesado filter baskets I bought from Coffee Parts I never realized Pesado was an Australian company. Pretty sure Dipendente is on the money. Has anyone done a review of the Pesado TPD?
It looks as if it works via a 3 way connector that connects a temp gauge, a pressure gauge and a needle valve to the bottom of a portafilter where a threaded spout normally goes. Not sure why it has that little tube that sticks up towards the grouphead screen when fitted.
In my case the optional supplied portofilter would not be ideal as my new Royal Villelunga Leva has the Brasilia type angled PFs. Also I already made up a pressure tester using a gauge and needle valve for my old Brasilia Portofino so I may be able to achieve the same result by just buying a similar temp gauge and a fitting.
Because I am new to lever machines I believe a device like this would be useful to calibrate my Villelunga Leva and get a better understanding of what is going on.

The pesaso one does look great, but once you've used to to adjust everything, it's going to basically just sit there un used, unless I'm missing something

My money is on the Pesado TPD.
I have owned one and it works as advertised. I made a small adjustment to the pressurestat and also pump pressure.
The main advantage was in working out how much of a cooling flush is required.

New Aussie Temp & Pressure probe?
Just read this in HB in a thread about a home made Scace probe. It was posted at the end of lat year here https://www.home-barista.com/espress...t77359-60.html
"There will be something from an Australian company in the next month or two, temperature and pressure. At a price point that convinced me to not bother making one.
They openly told me about it and showed me a prototype, but I'm not sure if they'd want their name or target price point plastered on HB yet."
Anyone know anything about it and when it is likely to be launched?
