Hi, yes you will be able to get parts readily from coffeeparts. It is very lilke my s20, of which I ordered every single valve/gasket/seal etc when I fixed it up. Id be inspecting before you buy if possible.

I think an S24 deserves to be in the $1500-$3000 category!

      Thanks for the info Damian,
I only put it in this category due to the 2nd hand price, the only one i can find at the moment is a 2 hr drive away, there isnt any great rush to get one so i am sure i can hold out for a good one, the Silvia is making some nice coffee, just lets me down when i have to make a lot of milk drinks for people, maybe it would be ok if i could convert everyone to piccolo lattes ...... :P

        Re: Rancilio S24

My S24 works a charm! Its about 10yrs old, and I just had it serviced (not that it really needed one - more of a preventative measure), and my repairer assured me that its as good as a new machine inside!

They are not hard to get parts for, and, if well maintained should last a lifetime. With a 3.2lt boiler theres plenty of omph to punch out the espresso shots, and the steam power / microfoam ability is excellent also

The drip trays a bit small and plasticy for my liking, and theyre not aas easy on the eye as some machines (think modern prosumer e61 machines), but value for money I think they represent a very good buy, as long as you can be assured that theyre in good nick to start off with and have been well maintained)

Feel free to PM me with any questions you might have

        Cheers,

        Pat
