Re: Expobar Minore II vs VBM Super Lever

    Hi all,

We do have restrictors which fit a wide range of machines. The issue however is that without Scace data, you can do more harm than good.

Current Aust spec. VBM are very well setup out of the box but those imported by the old mob run red hot. Nevertheless, we make any adjustments required on bench test.

The old VBM machines can be identified by Jager domestic pressurestats, smaller boilers, glass wrapped wiring and round rather than triangular handles. A a second hand machine, they are not worth anywhere as much as the current spec IMHO.

My advice is that youd possibly be better off with a Minore III in NZ. Alternately, we can supply to most countries. You save GST but will need to pay shipping, import duty and applicable taxes on landing.

Maybe you can buy the restrictors off ECA.
Also Talk Coffee could be worth a try.

From what Ive read of the Minore II, quite a bit needs to be flushed through the group to warm it up, just read it, nether used one, so I am happy to be corrected.
    In NZ unfortunatley, thanks anyway.

I still think moving to Aussie would take care of all coffee problems ;D

What about a custom restrictor mod?
I remember reading about this on the thread "Talk Coffee Thermostability Upgrade" http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1163933911#3

Been thinking of one of these as I leave my machine on all day on weekends/when home. You never know what youre going to get when you walk up to it and lift the lever...it all depends on how long its been sitting idle!

Certainly a less costly option than buying another machine.

What would be the benefits of the Minore 2 over a VBM Super Lever if any?
I get sick of the amount of flushing between shots and wondered if the Minore would be a better option especially when machine is left idle?

    Cheers
