Hi
I have a timer on my VBM (HX) and forgot to put it on. I normally have it heat up for an hour or so before I make coffee.
I only had 35 mins as had to get to work.
Now, the question that has been bothering me, does flushing speed up or slow down the warm up.
One side of the argument that I pondered was that by flushing, you were introducing cold water into the boiler which would slow things down. I am not talking about a lot of flushing, maybe 5-10 seconds.
On the flipside, running hot water through the machine and the group head would get everything up to temperature faster?
Any thoughts?
Ben
