Hi guys,
really starting to get into this coffee thing. At the moment I have a Krups machine thats about 4 years old and a Delonghi Blade grinder. Not the flashiest combo. Grinding some nice beans from coffeebasics. The coffees nice but I know I can do better. Was all set to go for the silvia but then Ive been reading that its not so good when you are entertaining or want to do more than say 2 lattes so it kind of wont meet my needs.
Im not loaded with cash and i certainly cant afford a BMW or Mercedes, but when it comes to coffee machines Id like to get the best that I can afford. I think a nice good quality coffee machine and grinder are within my reach. I want something that looks good and is fairly easy to get a decent espresso out of (ie with fresh beans and the right grind). I was budgeting say up to 3 grand for both...
I actually like the look of those elektra models with the eagle on top, have no idea whether they are a good/functional machine however.
The Isomacs look great as do some of the Vibiemme machines. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
