    Re: SAN MARINO

Well, I can tell you one good thing about them. They never die. I have a few customers using them and some are very, very, very old. Mind you, the same could be said about the VW beetle, you wouldnt catch me dead in one though.

Other than that they run extremely hot even when set at low boiler pressures. and the group head temp varies greatly even from group to group on the same machine.

Might I firstly suggest you ask your employer why they exclusively use these machines? I would be interested to hear their response.

You may also find that a bit more candour in your posts could potentially convince our fellow snobs to impart their (in)finite wisdom about why they would choose an alternative machine.
Surely you could at least outline what purpose and for whom the machine is being purchased?

    Re: SAN MARINO

The reason i ask is a Company i work for uses nothing but san marinos and we never seem to have problems and before purchasing i wanted to find out why a lot of coffee snobs think any other machines would be better.

    Hi Tim,

Yours is a question that has been asked many a time...

General consensus is that just about anything else is better....
