After having many problems with my last $2000 + espresso machine, Chris from Talk Coffee came to my rescue.
He sold me the original machine, and when I ultimately reached the point where I wanted to toss it off a high building and watch it slam into the concrete and break into a million pieces, he convinced me not to.
Instead: he took back the old machine, restored it completely, sold it and gave me the proceeds (less parts) AND sold me a VBM Domobar at a great price. He really looked after me and I can highly recommend Chris and the VBM.
My new machine is built like the proverbial brick dunny. Solid as a rock. Yes...its expensive...but you wont regret stretching the budget a bit. It occupies a slightly bigger footprint, but it holds lots more water in its tank.
Its relatively easy to care for, and more importantly, chugs out a God Shot every time. It took me about 5 goes to learn what sort of grind and dose it likes. I made flat whites for 12 people last weekend and the last was every bit as good as the first. It texturises (?) the milk really fast and I always have lovely creamy microfoam. I have no real criticisms of this machine.
Thanks for looking after me Chris. Your a legend! ;D
