Re: BZ99 still current?
now youre using freshly roasted beans and a grinder, youre on your way to having beautiful things in the cup.
I suggest buying some Espresso WoW and other single origins from BrownBay, and having a play.
...then youll get to know and love the Coffee Hardware for Sale forum, when you sell your rocky and buy a Mini/M4 etc!

Re: BZ99 still current?
Well, my new Bezzera arrived a few days ago, and today I purchased a Rocky grinder (doser version). Im as happy as a pig in mud.
The latest Bezzeras steam wand and water spout are much better than the ones on my old machine, and overall the machine is a bit quieter.
Having used pre-ground coffee for the past 10 years (just standard Lavazza bricks) and having to tamp heavily in order to pull a half decent shot, Im blown away by how much easier it is to pull a great shot when you grind your own beans.
Now Im off to explore the world of coffee beans!

Re: BZ99 still current?
Hi Peter; Congratulations
You will not find this machine in the Italian website because this machine was most done for the Australian market.
The most recent changes are the bolt join steam and water arm, better anti-vacum valve, better pump holder.
Best regards
Renzo

BZ99 still current?
Hi there,
My 10 year-old Bezzera BZ99 broke recently and the cost to repair was enough that Ive decided to purchase a new machine. Barazi have given me a good trade-in so I am going for the same machine again although from what Im told there are a few improvements (e.g. better steam wand, a bit quieter, etc).
Ive been using pre-ground coffee the entire time Ive owned this machine but with the new machine I intend to get myself a grinder. Im in the midst of researching models.
One question though... when I looked at the Bezzera website in Italy, I cannot see the BZ99 listed there at all. Has this machine been discontinued recently? I cant find any talk of this being the case on the net so thought I would ask here. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Peter.
