  • Black specks in hot water

Hi, Im new around here and this is my first post.
I just bought a Magister Stella. Everything is fine with the machines functionality but I have noticed little black specks in the water I get from the Hot Water arm. What could this be and how do I get rid of it?
The machine is new although it was manufactured in 2009.
    Thanks

What is the origin of water youre using in the machine?

Sounds like coffee fines.. Or some small bits of scale ?

You say NEW... Please define ?

What sort of filter are you using ?

If ya just run water from the group ( No group inserted) do you get the same... (Clean teh group first)

You got it from Where ???

This means that machine was seating in the warehouse a bit of time.

Continue taken water from the Hot Water outlet, should clear soon, other wise contact your reseller and ask him to clean the boiler for you.

Re: Black specks in hot water

Ive only had it two days, so I dont think the water Ive put in it is the issue. Its a tank supply, not plumbed in if thats the question.

The particles dont come out of the group head, but it might just be the mesh shower screen stopping that.
Its clean, this is coming from the boiler...
I will keep pushing water through the boiler and see if it goes away ....for now.
          Thanks

Re: Black specks in hot water

The reason I asked about the water source was in case the particles were carbon from a filter e.g. with Brita filters if you dont give them a good rinse before use

Unfiltered tap water? I hope youre not planning to do that long term!
