Re: Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
low pressure eh. The gauge still reads as it used to and the pressure seems pretty wild.
I flushed the boiler again and gave it a little shake. I seems better (could be my imagination) but it is still very wet.
On wide open the steam runs for about 4 seconds and then the water just rushes through. The fuller the boiler the denser of water.
With a half full boiler and a wide open steam valve I get around 15mm of water in 10 seconds. From memory I previously got next to no water with a 3/4 full tank.
This has got me stumped.

Re: Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
Only other thing is you may have a partially blocked Pstat because of the descale moving little chunks around? Wet steam would result from to low a pressure in the boiler.

Re: Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
Nah its not over full. Its a manual fill machine. I does it even at 1/2 tank although not as badly.
There is still traces of cleaner present in the machine despite flushing so I am thinking that perhaps water + descaler behaves differently from plain water???? :-/
Or it was scaled up and is now running at a higher pressure but that would mean my gauge is wrong????
I will give it a flush tonight and report back.

Re: Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
hi htb,
Id suggest removal of the boiler probe and give it a clean. There are other reasons why a boiler may overfill, but this is a good place to start.
Cheers

Re: Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
Its possible the boiler is to full
A head space is required to accommodate the steam

Elektra semiautomatica steam problem
Hi CSers,
Last night I descaled my Elektra and now the steam is very wet which makes absolutely no sense to me. Everything seems normal including pressure etc but with the steam wand wide open it is pretty much just spraying hot water.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
