When I switch the pump on, the (pressure gauge)PG reads 8 bar with blind filter attached or no filter at all, I always get 8bar no matter what.
All this is with switch in position 1, when I switch the boiler on and it slowly starts reaching the 1.1 boiler pressure the pressure gauge needle climbs and stays constant at 12bar, I activate the pump with no porta filter and the PGs needle swings rapidly to 8bar.
As stated I have turned the OPV screw clockwise with no effect.

The fact you are not seeing a change in system pressure could point to issues with the bypass on the pump or with the gauge. Perhaps it simply sticks at 8 bar? You need to get a p/f gauge onto the group to help problem solve.
And Ive turned it counter clockwise-what I got when I CC turned the OPV screw is quite interesting
From the factory setting I turned the OPV screw out by about 1.5 turns
I still get 8bar on the PG with no porta filtro, with the boiler off, when the boiler is at 1.1 bar the brew pressure gauge is constant at 7bar, no more 12bar BPG readings, when I activate the pump I got a sound comming from the machine that sounded like a rusty hinge on a gate while opeing it. So I turned the OPV a half turn clockwise, I got the rusty gate sound momentarily then it went away.
1) What is the rusty gate sound when Ive turned the OPV counter clockwise, and why does the BPG stay at 7bar when the machine is idle and the boiler is correctly operating with peak pressure of 1.1bar

3) Why does the Brew Pressure Gauge always read 8bar no matter what I do

Good luck
