I have been losing steam pressure and the boiler only occasionaly refils after removing water from the hot water tap.
I did a search and found the problem was with the water sensor. When I unplugged it, after powering off, I found it would keep refilling when I turned the power back on. This was good because I got three coffees out of it for family breakfast.
However, Icarus flew too close to the sun
On the next occasion I overfilled the boiler, with water splattering, then the house power tripped out.
My question now is; How do I drain some water from the boiler? The "tap" is a solenoid which wont open until pressure(or temp) is stabilized, and the circuit trips before that happens!
If I can get past this hurdle then I can look at the original problem which is how to remove the sensor for cleaning or replacement :-/
