Re: Trash or treasure?
Welcome to CS.
I believe the question is "trash or treasure?"
Unless it means something to you, if you find someone that wants to pay real money for it my advice is to offload and replace it with a good espresso machine....not an ornament that also makes coffee.

Re: Trash or treasure?
What you have is a Brasillia Belle Epoque single group. You can google that for more information - there are a number of variants.
If it is complete, then with a good grinder and fair amount of practice (some say skill and luck), then you can make a good coffee with it.
Value depends on what someone is willing to pay. I purchased a Riviera (similar build) to add to my collection and paid around $750 - part of the attraction for me is that it is complete, has a unique tamper, and operates when plugged into a transfomer that weighs more than the machine.

Re: Trash or treasure?
looking at those buttons (and based on the size of it from those buttons) it looks like it might have Brasilia type lady internals.
that might make it a single boiler (non-hx) machine vibe pump, it will make good coffee once you get used to it
you would need a grinder and fresh beans to get the best from it
unplug it and take the back off for a look, if he internals looks kind of like the internals of this thread then you know a bit more. or if they look very different post some more pics

Trash or treasure?
Hi all,
I recently purchased a character home of which came with a beautiful brass and copper coffee machine. I thought the eagle on the top looked like Elektra, but underneath it has a label which reads Brasilia.

Does anyone know what this machine actually is (model, year)? And, is it worth fixing (i.e. will it ever make a decent coffee) or is it solely a nice kitchen ornament? Is it worth anything?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks..
